&>What is a darb part!?<&

These small soft sculptures began as a project to design fully functional packers that would better represent my imagined & whimsical non-anatomical genitalia than packer products that exist for trans men. I call them Darb parts because I am a darb... but you are whatever you know yourself to be. so tell me about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯and I’ll make your parts come true!

The story:

I never used a phallic packer. That flaccid "nude" shape never did much for me.  In my endless restless experimenting I had started stuffing all kinds of things in my jock. For a while I used a clown nose, which was a joy to whip out for the timely punch line, or when I really wanted people to leave me alone biking home late at night. Soon my packing ambitions outgrew this gag (the nose I was using started breaking) and I moved on to packing with parts from old puppets that I had lying around. Soon after a local art gallery had an open call for visual work dealing with queer representations. The spark ignited. Instead of using parts of old puppets I could make foam and fabric sculptures for the express purpose! I entered several designs and was fortunate to show three of the original Darb Parts as wearable art objects. This work was very well received. It got me thinking, I surely wasn't the only gender rebel who could benefit from this project. So here I am, working to bring this concept to others who may be struggling with similar dysphoria to what I have experienced as a transmasculine non-binary person. I have some designs ready to go, but I am most interested in taking commissions and holding consultations with gender expansive bad-asses to inquire, discover and realize what your parts are like. I don’t just make packers either. I’m committed to use my puppet making skills to invent any kind of prosthetic or plumage that you can’t hunt somewhere else, for daily presentation, performances, sensual play. Clown collars, tails, baby bumps, gaffs, padding.

undergarm

&>What is UnderGarm!?<&

You know, the things we wear under our clothes to keep everything comfortable, dry, and in place. On the top I need something that shapes my chest into a more pectoral profile. not just flattening but spreading and lifing my pecs so I can wear my shirts open and feel the breeze on my bare chest. On the bottom i’m re-imagining “shapewear” that is trans affirming. I need garm that can keep my junk nicely shaped and in place, compress my hips and redistribute fatty deposits to more affirming regions, even adding padding where desired and all this while effectively reducing odor & containing fluids. That a lot of demands to put on underwear... hence the funny new word...
