How does pricing work?
Our pricing structure is by love offering, this means you decide how much you can donate for the service provided. What is this service worth to you? Each item indicates the number of hours that are required to make it. For commissions, the artist will quote you the number of hours they expect the work will require. Below is a formula and other recommendations for finding the right price for you.
Equity Pricing Equation:
(hours of labor) x (your hourly rate) + (materials and shipping cost) = (cost) x 2 = (Wholesale Price) x 2 = (Retail price)
Recommendation:
If your annual income is six figures or you have access to family wealth, we hope that you will pay the retail price. If you make less than 25k annually, we will be happy to make your commission for you at cost. This pricing model operates as an honor system; we trust you to find the price point that feels respectful to you. We are hopeful that transparency about pricing will create a culture of generosity and abundance.
If this model is cost-prohibitive, please submit a commission form anyway. I wish we could make art objects for anyone who connects with this concept.
How to wear these packers?
We recommend you wear your packer tucked in the fly of some “mens” briefs they are lightweight and made to stay in place without much fuss. They can also be worn between tight layers for example over your undies but under some leggings, between a thong and a jockstrap, nestled in a pouch sewn into your underwear (see alterations). DO NOT wear your packer directly against your body
Cleaning and care:
We don’t claim our packers are machine washable but if your custom foam and fabric packer gets mixed in with the laundry it shouldn’t be a huge deal. When your packer starts to get funky our recommendation is to spritz it with cheap vodka, diluted white vinegar, or another alcohol spray like isopropyl or hand sanitizer to freshen it and kill any bacteria.
